The APS suggests that private psychologists charge $318 for a standard consultation. In order to make therapy more accessible, Alicia offers a substantial discount on this suggested fee depending on how you fund your service.
Medicare Better Access Program fee: $210
Private billing fee: $180
Sessions are 50 minutes in duration. A referral is not necessary to make an appointment. If you don’t have a referral, the private billing fee applies. The private billing fee will also apply where you choose to continue therapy after Medicare-rebatable sessions have been exhausted.
To keep things simple, card details are securely collected online when you book your initial appointment. The session fee (and Medicare rebate where applicable) is processed on the day of your telehealth session, and a receipt is provided by email for your records.
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for sessions provided under the Medicare Better Access Program. A valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral can be arranged with your GP or psychiatrist. Rebates are available for up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year. Eating Disorder Treatment Plans are also accepted.
For sessions with a registered psychologist, the standard Medicare rebate is $98.95 per session ($101.55 from July 1, 2026). Medicare rebates are processed by Services Australia after your appointment and are paid into your nominated bank account.
An invoice will be provided following payment so that private health insurance rebates can be accessed where applicable. Please check directly with your insurer regarding eligibility and rebates.
Alicia welcomes enquiries from victims of crime accessing therapy through the Victorian Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS, formerly VOCAT), as well as self-managed and plan-managed National Disability Insurance Scheme participants. Please contact Alicia directly to discuss funding and fee arrangements.
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, at least 48 hours’ notice is required. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur the full session fee. Specific information about the Cancellation Policy will be provided upon booking your initial consultation.
Sessions are focused on therapeutic support and are not conducted for the purposes of medico-legal reporting (for example, court reports) or fulfilling mandated legal requirements. Third-party funding arrangements via Workcover, TAC or DVA are not currently available.
